The SIFT solution's Service Oriented Architecture components are each powered by one of more Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances. SIFT is currently performing feasibility and performance testing on varying database designs and architectures. These include MySQL incrementally persisting to S3, MySQL residing on Elastic Block Store, and SimpleDB. The SIFT solution uses the Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) for all communications between application components.

SIFT is a Microsoft ISV partner and develops solutions powered by Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008.
