Case Study: Multi-Cloud Automation Platform Product Leadership
Company: Logicworks | Role: Product Owner (Scaled Agile)
Domain: Cloud Management Platform (CMP) / DevOps Automation
The Challenge
Logicworks, a leader in public cloud managed services, required a scalable way to enforce complex governance, security, and cost-optimization standards across a diverse portfolio of AWS and Azure customers. The goal was to move away from manual configurations to a "Policy-as-Code" model where best practices are applied automatically during clients’ application deployments.
The Solution: Cloud Automation Platform
I led the product management and product roadmap strategy for a proprietary Cloud Automation Platform. This system acted as the "central nervous system" for cloud governance, utilizing a custom multi-tenant Configuration Management Database (CMDB) synchronized with client-specific Terraform repositories.
Core Capabilities:
Automated Governance: Clients integrate their CI/CD pipelines directly with the platform, ensuring that every application deployment automatically inherits the correct infrastructure configurations.
Security & Compliance: Automated deployment of security agents and service integrations to meet strict regulatory standards.
Resiliency: Standardized implementation of AWS CloudWatch/Azure Monitor alerts and cross-region backup policies (AWS Backup/Azure Backup).
FinOps: Programmatic recommendation of AWS & Azure Reserved Instances/Savings Plans to maximize clients’ ROI.
Strategic Product Management
Operating within a Scaled Agile framework, I owned the end-to-end product lifecycle, bridging the gap between complex engineering capabilities and business value.
Product Roadmap & Strategy: Developed a defensible prioritization framework to manage competing stakeholder demands, translating high-level business goals into actionable Jira and Azure DevOps epics and development stories.
Data-Driven Execution: Established Product KPIs and built custom dashboards for individual development teams to track product value and usage.
Agile Leadership: Led sprint planning and requirements discovery, ensuring alignment between engineering, sales, and customer success teams.
Thought Leadership & Go-to-Market
Beyond execution, I played a key role in the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, translating technical features into compelling value proposition artifacts for sales teams and prospective clients.
Key Publication: Authored the industry resource “Benefits of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with CI/CD Pipelines” (Published on RapidScale).
Impact: This piece became a core asset for the sales team, helping to educate the market on the value of automated infrastructure delivery.
